JATV Information –
JATV is Janesville’s premier local access television station. Featuring programming of local Janesville events, community created content, and coverage of local government news. We are here to serve you!
The mission of Janesville Community Access Television, as a PEG Access channel, is to provide coverage of Public programs, Educational programs and coverage of Government meetings and committees.
It is also our mission to make available to residents a facility, equipment, training, and support for the production of quality, non-commercial programs. The purpose of the channel is to provide informational, educational, and entertaining local programs that reflect the community and the area.
The Hedberg Public Library operates the station under contract with the City of Janesville. Funding comes from a portion of the annual franchise fee the city receives from Charter Communications and AT&T. We also receive special donations and program sponsorships. The station is located on the lower level of the Hedberg Public Library in the Administrative office area.
